Health Aspect

While their exact composition is rarely detailed on the product, it is known that disposable diapers are most commonly composed of a sheet that comes into contact with the skin, a cellulose core filled with absorbent gel (sodium polyacrylate), and an impermeable outer part made of polyethylene or polypropylene.

Reusable diapers are often preferred for the health of babies as they cause minimal irritation.

Ecological Aspect

A study (in french) on reusable diapers estimates that a child "consumes" approximately 6500 diapers until they are potty trained. This amounts to approximately 4.5 trees and 25 kg of plastic obtained from 67 kg of crude oil.

The washing that is carried out by Serviss is done so in large batches, therefore the water consumption per diaper is negligible.
